Overview
JOB SUMMARY : The Structural Engineering will work with engineering and design staff to design buildings and structures constructed of concrete, structural steel, and masonry.
Responsibilities
- Work with Engineers and Design staff on specific project
- Participate in project strategy meetings within discipline and gain exposure to design concepts, pricing, and proposal
techniques / requirements.
Participate in design research and other activities asEngage with other interns across the enterprise as part of the overall SummerComply with Companys Quality Control and Project ManagementPromote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organizationsPerform other duties asWork Environment
Work is performed in a Vestal Corporation office.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and able to operate a computer and other officeMust be able to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex.This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurateKnowledge / Skill / Ability / Education / Experience
Pursuing Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar isFamiliarity with Revit and AutoCAD isFamiliarity with FEA structural software isAbility to work in a fast-pacedStrong Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent written and verbal communicationProven ability to read and understand both 2D and 3D drawings isStrong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change managementAbility to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other businessMust comply with Vestal Corporations core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships among and with employees.J-18808-Ljbffr
