Beyond innovative fasteners, VesprSolar is developing a full pipeline of industry-leading complementary components, solidifying our expertise and thought leadership in the solar sector.
We’re seeking a Structural Engineer with expertise in the analysis and design of steel structures, and solid background with prototyping and testing. You will lead the integration of our fastening technology into customer racking systems, perform advanced structural analysis, and support new product development. This role combines analytical modeling with hands-on testing and customer collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Analyze structural performance of solar racking systems and components according to different methods and structural codes (e.g., ASCE 7, Eurocode, etc.)
- Develop and implement testing plans based on engineering requirements and applicable standards
- Lead in-house as well as third-party testing and certification efforts, including organization of test plans, and standardized documentation of results
- Partner with customers to adapt VesprSolar technology to existing or future racking systems
- Support product development with continuous improvement of testing methods and protocols
- Support day-to-day administrative / logistic activities in the Norman headquarters
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering (master’s preferred)Strong background in steel structures design and relevant structural standards, with 3 years of experience desiredSignificant experience with structural testing and certification, with 3 years of experience desiredProficiency in programming for control of automated testing (ex. MATLAB)Proficiency in FEA structural analysis and parametric solid modeling applications. (SolidWorks preferred)Hands-on experience with prototyping, including building 3-D printed models, then converting into workable prototypes for testing and pilot.Significant experience with structural testing, and certificationSolar experience is a plus but not requiredDemonstrated skills in organization, detailed planning, and systematic approachesBenefits
