Job Description
Bridges aides are part-time (30 hours a week) paid employees and are critical team members to the Bridges program. Aides are supervised by the Bridges Director / Teachers. Aides work closely with teachers and therapists to ensure consistency in the classroom. Their duties include running centers, assisting at meal times and during group activities, supervising on the playground, helping with transitions, and light housekeeping (ie dishwasher, laundry, etc). Aides are first and foremost responsible for the safety of every child and the child's progress towards independence and therapeutic goals.
Pay Scale
All classroom aides will start with a base pay of $13 an hour. Aides that work more than 25 hours a week will be qualify for a quarterly pay increase. Those that qualify will receive a 50 cent raise every 3 months. The maximum hourly rate for a classroom aide is $15 an hour.
Lead Aide
Lead aides are appointed by Bridges leadership as deemed necessary. Lead aide job duties include lead transitions, circle, story, and journal in the absence of lead teachers, supervise aides and classroom in the absence of lead teachers, and assist in classroom behavior management. Lead aides will be paid $16 an hour.
