job_description.job_card.job_descriptionReview facility census reports prior to billing. Review individual resident accounts and submit claims to the appropriate payers. Review aged receivable reports and remittances for discrepancies. Communicate with facilities any issues or concerns related to payer information. Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies. Maintains the privacy and dignity of residents and interacts with payers in a professional manner that displays knowledge of accounts. Reports all concerns to the appropriate Billing Supervisor. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed. Maintain acceptable level of collection percentages. Record accurate and detailed collection notes in system software. High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred One year experience in an Accounting role. Computer knowledge
The Billing Specialist is responsible for the monthly billing and follow-up function for the residents of the facilities from the corporate office. Billing includes Medicare, Medicaid, and Insurances as assigned.
This role is on-site at our corporate headquarters in Southfield, MI.
