Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of assigned projects, including schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Acting as the primary client liaison, this role ensures seamless communication among team members and delivers projects aligned with the firm's standards for quality, design, and profitability. The Project Manager is integral to maintain strong client relationships while balancing operational efficiency, creative excellence, and financial oversight.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership : Manage multiple small to medium-sized projects, ensuring timely and on-budget completion.
- Provide leadership to the project team, motivating members to meet goals and achieve milestones.
- Coordinate and delegate responsibilities across design teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Lead or contribute to design direction, including space planning, material selections, and client presentations.
- Client Relationship Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain excellent professional relationships with clients and consultants to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Financial Oversight : Monitor and manage project budgets, identifying risks and resolving variances proactively.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing proposals, contracts, and additional service requests to maintain profitability.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation to balance workloads and financial objectives.
- Quality Assurance and Documentation : Oversee and contribute to the development of construction documents in Revit or other design tools, ensuring quality and compliance with building codes and accessibility requirements.
- Conduct reviews of project deliverables to uphold design intent, technical accuracy, and firm standards.
- Participate in the construction administration phase, including site observations and reviewing RFIs / submittals.
- Team Collaboration and Development : Collaborate with Senior Project Managers and Studio Leads to address project challenges and resolve resource conflicts.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and fostering professional growth.
- Support studio knowledge-building initiatives by sharing resources and contributing to team training.
- Business Development : Assist in marketing efforts by attending industry conferences and networking events.
- Identify opportunities for new work and collaborate on proposals to secure future projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or a related field.8+ years of professional experience in project management, with a focus on hospitality, multifamily, senior living, or student housing.Proven ability to balance client needs, team workflows, and firm goals.Strong organizational and communication skills.Proficiency in project management tools and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite).Experience in managing consultant teams and resolving complex technical and design issues.FFE Experience RequiredBenefits
