job_description.job_card.job_descriptionManage utility accounts across our property portfolio, including new accounts, transfers, and terminations Process invoices, allocations and tenant billing Support tenants with utility questions Coordinate trash / recycling contracts Monitor due dates, appeal dates, and payments Allocate real estate tax expenses for proper billing Support annual budgeting and forecasting of tax adjustments Assist with outside tax appeal teams by providing property and tenant data Process accounts payable for utilities and taxes, ensuring coding, accuracy, and on-time payments Support basic accounting functions such as expense verification, billing, and variance reporting Partner with property managers and accountants to solve problems, streamline processes, and identify cost-saving opportunities Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field Internship or 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or commercial real estate preferred (Recent graduates are welcome!) Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with numbers, invoices and allocations Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); exposure to MRI, Sage or AvidXchange is a plus Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow in real estate accounting This is an in-office position based in Brentwood, TN Gain hands-on experience in a unique niche of commercial real estate Collaborate with both Property Management and Accounting teams for broad career exposure Training and mentorship with opportunities for advancement Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and 401(k)

The national footprint allows retail tenant partners and Highland Venture brands to leverage multiple properties to fulfill their expansion needs, and the Legacy development team assists partners in locating and developing new sites. We are seeking a detail-oriented, early-career accounting professional to join our team as a Billing Coordinator. This entry-level role offers hands-on exposure to accounting and property management functions, while working closely with both our Property Management and Accounting teams. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable with numbers, motivated to build a career in commercial real estate accounting and operations.
