Job Summary :
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the face of the organization, providing compassionate, professional specimen collection services to patients. The PSR II ensures accurate and high-quality blood sample collection, prepares specimens for laboratory testing, and maintains patient trust and confidence through excellent communication and adherence to safety and confidentiality standards. Successful candidates may be assigned to doctors offices, patient service centers, or other designated facilities based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform daily specimen collection and processing tasks accurately and on schedule under the supervision of the area lead.
Maintain a safe and professional environment that adheres to all company standards and health regulations.
Execute both forensic and clinical phlebotomy procedures in compliance with established practices.
Verify patient demographic information, including signature verification post-venipuncture.
Maintain all required records and documentation accurately.
Uphold company policies and procedures, including dress code, safety protocols, and guiding principles.
Demonstrate superior customer focus by maintaining clear, transparent communication with patients and peers.
Adapt to flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, on-call duties, and travel to multiple locations with minimal notice.
Participate in training at varying locations based on trainer availability.
Required Experience :
13 years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Customer service background in healthcare, retail, or similar fast-paced environments.
Data entry and keyboard proficiency.
Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
Nice-to-Have Experience :
Two years of experience in a Patient Service Center setting.
Prior training in laboratory operations or diagnostic support environments.
