Position Overview

The Verification Of Benefits (VOB) Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring patients understand their healthcare coverage and available services. This position requires a high level of customer service, accuracy, and frequent communication with managed care companies. You will help patients navigate their benefits while supporting the operations team in delivering timely and accurate insurance verification.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify all new patients' insurance coverage, including eligibility, coverage, authorizations, and referrals.
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals for completed verifications.
• Educate patients and staff on coverage and eligibility questions.
• Conduct frequent phone contact with insurance companies.
• Ensure patient demographics are accurate and up to date.
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
