Each MODEx Original brings together decision-makers, innovators, and creators for conversations that shape industries — and transform ideas into content that lives well beyond the stage.
The Role
We’re looking for a Head of Partnerships, Sponsorships & Talent — a driven, connected, and strategic business developer who can power the revenue and relationships behind MODEx Originals and MODEx Live. This person will secure sponsorships, forge brand partnerships, and curate the thought leaders, founders, and innovators who belong on the MODEx stage. They’ll also build and manage our growing Partner Agent Network — empowering other connectors to source opportunities nationally. This is a founder-adjacent, high-impact role for someone who thrives in the space between creativity and commerce.
What You’ll Do
Sponsorships & Partnerships
- Lead the partnership and sponsorship strategy for MODEx Originals (Industry Summits, IndieMODE , and other curated events).
- Identify and close corporate sponsorships, agency partnerships, and brand activations aligned with MODEx’s mission.
- Create sponsorship decks, pitch narratives, and partnership tiers that bridge innovation, culture, and measurable ROI .
- Collaborate with the CEO to ensure partnerships integrate seamlessly into MODEx content and production.
Thought Leadership & Talent Curation
Identify, recruit, and coordinate executives, founders, and innovators to participate as speakers, moderators, or panelists in MODEx Originals Summits.Build relationships with accelerators, VC firms, innovation hubs, and media outlets to source dynamic talent and programming.Curate high-value conversations that align with sponsorship goals and audience interests.Ecosystem Growth & Agent Network
Launch and manage the MODEx Partner Agent Network — a scalable sponsorship ecosystem enabling vetted agents and consultants to source partnerships for commission.Develop onboarding tools, pitch kits, and communication systems to expand reach and performance.Foster long-term relationships with recurring sponsors, partner agencies, and talent.MODEx Live
Support partnership development for MODEx Live , our commerce-forward content platform blending storytelling, technology, and live shoppable media.Build relationships with brands, creators, and tech platforms interested in experiential live commerce opportunities.What You’ll Bring
8+ years in partnerships, sponsorship sales, brand development, or business strategy.A proven record of closing five- and six-figure deals with corporate sponsors or creative brands.Deep understanding of brand storytelling, experiential marketing, and innovation ecosystems.Networked across business, tech, media, and creative sectors .Excellent communicator and relationship builder, equally confident with executives and creators.Entrepreneurial mindset — proactive, organized, and fast-moving.Must be Atlanta-based and available on-site during events and key meetings.What Success Looks Like
