This is a hybrid role based in Lake County, IL

Purpose

Associate Data Engineer would contribute to the architecture, design, and development of the fir for purpose Data & Analytics solution in a timely manner, under the direction of a more senior leader. Possess general understanding of software development and technology infrastructure with respect to data and analytics (Databases, Data integration, Data Warehousing, Data Analysis, Visualization Tools and MLOps)

Responsibilities

Perform routine tasks competently and independently and generate reliable and consistent results.

Learn and understand various data engineering and analytics activities, including data warehousing, master data management, data cataloging, system integration, data streaming, data visualization, data analysis, and data ops.

Learn and understand pharmaceutical R&D / Life Science centric datasets.

Produces and maintains required technical documentation associated with work products.

Learn and contribute to the architecture, design, development, and maintenance of large-scale data & analytics platforms, system integrations, data pipelines, data models & API integrations.

Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of related experience

Must have experience with software development life cycle.

Must have experience with data analysis programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python & Apache Spark, SAS or R)

Experience working with MPP engine, Graph databases and search is preferred

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​​

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​​
