Overview
We are currently seeking a Production Engineer for one of our automated trading desks. As part of this team, you will work closely with trading strategy and infrastructure development teams and play a key role in configuring and deploying new technologies and strategies.
You will work directly with our technologists, traders and quantitative research analysts to develop tools to monitor and support the production environment on a highly automated trading desk and to develop and maintain software build tools on Linux. You will have the opportunity to learn market microstructure and how system setup and system risk relate to trading.
Responsibilities
- Develop scripts for monitoring the state of the production environment and its dependencies for an automated trading desk
- Work with the Platform Engineering team to assist in server imaging, testing and deployment
- Act as a liaison between the trading desk and network, security, market data and platform teams for system level production issues and new setups
- Monitor and support a highly distributed production system
- Provide multi-level support for traders, strategists and quantitative researchers

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related disciplineDemonstrated proficiency in scripting languages (Python, bash, shell) requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skills for working with traders, quants and other developers requiredAbility to work in a fast paced environment requiredExcellent quantitative skills are strongly preferredGood understanding of financial instruments and markets is a plusAbility to work in office 5 days per weekSeniority level
