A prominent law firm based in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney with experience in real estate, mortgage servicing, and civil litigation. The position focuses on contested matters involving residential property, foreclosure proceedings, and title-related disputes. This opportunity is ideally suited for legal professionals with strong advocacy skills who can manage a litigation caseload independently and travel as needed.
Duties :
- Handle all stages of litigation related to mortgage servicing and property disputes
- Provide legal analysis and strategic recommendations to clients
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, and motions for court filings
- Conduct discovery, including taking and defending depositions
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Manage pre-litigation matters and resolve title issues on residential real estate
- Maintain accurate case files and meet billable hour expectations
- Adapt to other responsibilities and assignments as required
Requirements :
Active license to practice law in CaliforniaMinimum of 2-8 years of experience in litigation, ideally in the real estate or mortgage sectorsAbility to consistently meet billable targets (e.g., 1920 hours annually)Willingness to travel throughout California as neededEducation :
