job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork in an LDRP unit within a hospital setting Unit includes 11 labor rooms, 2 ORs, 2 OBs, 3 OB ED (Triage), and 12 Antepartum / OBGYN beds Serves a high-volume patient population with approximately 200 deliveries per month, including both vaginal and C-section cases Patient ratios are typically 1 : 1 during active labor and 1 : 3 for antepartum Duties include circulating for deliveries, with scrub experience preferred Fetal monitoring and cardiac monitoring required, utilizing equipment such as warmers, GE monitors, pulse oximeters, and blood glucose devices 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and major holiday required On-call required for 1-2 shifts every 6 weeks Float within Women's Health likely Work as part of an interdisciplinary Women's Health team including 3 RNs and one tech per shift Responsibilities include labor, delivery (vaginal and C-section), antepartum care, version, and cerclage procedures Holiday coverage is required as scheduled EKG exam not required for this role First-time travelers may be considered Scrub attire is required Epic EMR experience preferred Active RN license in VA or compact state required Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required, with higher acuity preferred BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS preferred Experience in fetal monitoring necessary Circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Must not reside within a 50-mile radius High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
