Machine Operator : Loves Park, Illinois

The General Machine Operator is responsible for operating various equipment in the secondary-process departments, including, but not limited to Heat Treating, Straightening, Blackening, and Saws.

Machine Operator Job Duties :

• Operate equipment in miscellaneous departments, including Heat Treating, Straightening, Blackening, and Saws.
• Perform machine setup, calibration, and changeovers for different production runs to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect product throughout the production process, using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure they meet required tolerances.
• Document daily production activities, including machine performance, part quality, and material usage with ERP.
• Flex across various departments within the facility to support business needs and maintain efficient production workflow.
• Assist with material handling, including moving raw materials and finished products to and from workstations as required, utilizing material handling equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts.

Pay Rate : $17-$20 / hr
