CONTRACT SENIOR MEDIA PLANNER
REMOTE | OCCASIONAL IN-OFFICE ATLANTA GA | 30-40 HOURS PER WEEK
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Media Planner to support a growing independent Atlanta-based agency known for blending data, creativity, strategy, and media expertise to deliver impactful campaigns. The agency works with clients across healthcare, retail, and consumer categories, fostering a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where team members wear multiple hats.
This role is ideal for a media professional who thrives in fast-paced agency environments and enjoys balancing big-picture strategy with hands-on execution. You’ll play a critical role in leading campaign development, overseeing media planning and buying across channels, and helping to shape scalable processes as the media team expands.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead media planning and buying across digital, traditional, and social channels.
- Develop and present media strategies aligned with client objectives and budgets.
- Build, manage, and optimize campaigns with a focus on performance.
- Collaborate with account, creative, and analytics teams to deliver integrated programs.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate rates, and evaluate media opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver reporting with insights and recommendations.
- Support new business efforts with media strategy input when needed.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior media team members
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of media planning and buying experience, with at least 3 years in an agency environment.Proven ability to lead campaign strategy and execution from planning through optimization.Strong knowledge of digital platforms, paid social, and traditional media.Hands-on mentality with high attention to detail and accountability.Ability to work independently in a remote setting and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.Experience in high-volume, entrepreneurial agency environments.Familiarity with Atlanta and Florida media markets is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.This search is managed by Kat Rutherford
