Continuous Improvement / Value Stream Engineer — Manchester, Iowa
We are seeking a motivated Continuous Improvement / Value Stream Engineer to drive efficiency, quality, and cost savings through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. In this role, you'll lead plant-wide initiatives to improve OEE, product quality, waste reduction, energy conservation, safety, and operating costs. This position is key in fostering a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring teams and implementing impactful strategies.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex projects, including scope, objectives, and deliverables.Identify opportunities to maximize efficiency using Lean concepts.Develop and execute continuous improvement strategies with measurable goals.Train and mentor team members on continuous improvement methods.Coordinate initiatives with plant leadership to optimize resources and reduce redundancies.Conduct time and motion studies and validate production standards.Utilize value stream mapping and process charting to streamline workflows.Partner with training teams to develop standardized work instructions.Foster and support cross-functional improvement teams.Participate in training, safety, and assigned projects as directed.Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement role.Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements across teams.Strong communication and presentation skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).Preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean certification.Project management and industrial manufacturing experience.Apply
