Underground Utilities Pipe Crew

Position Summary

We are seeking motivated and reliable Underground Utilities Pipe Crew members to join our team. The crew will be responsible for assisting in the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utility systems, including water, sewer, and storm drain pipelines. Crew members will work under the supervision of the Pipe Foreman to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in laying, joining, and aligning various types of pipe (PVC, ductile iron, concrete, HDPE, etc.).
• Excavate and backfill trenches using hand tools and / or heavy equipment under supervision.
• Prepare pipe bedding and ensure proper alignment and grade.
• Operate or assist with construction equipment (excavators, loaders, compactors, trenchers).
• Handle materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Install manholes, catch basins, valves, and related utility structures.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site, adhering to all OSHA and company safety standards.
• Support crew leaders and operators with daily tasks to maintain productivity.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and small equipment.
• Follow directions from the Pipe Foreman and report any hazards or issues immediately.
