Role : Aras PLM Architect
Location : Remote (Travel to client place depends on the need)
Assignment duration : 6 Months
Job description :
- Lead the design and implementation of Aras PLM system enhancements, focusing on creating a reliable product data backbone that supports both engineering and manufacturing needs.
- Develop scalable models and processes for EBOM / MBOM creation, management, and Enterprise integration with ERP and MES
- Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with stakeholders to understand current pain points, system gaps, and NPI requirements. Map existing data flows, interface points, and user interactions; identify areas of inefficiency and risk.
- Design robust product data structures in ARAS, including correct part hierarchies, quantities, sub-assemblies, and linkage between EBOM and MBOM. Establish processes for capturing and maintaining revision history and change management.
- Architect seamless integration between ARAS PLM, CPQ (Infor), ERP, and MES. Define interface specifications, data exchange formats, and synchronization logic to enable end-to-end product lifecycle management and accurate sales quotation processes.
- Implement workflows and tools for controlled change management, including part revisions, engineering change orders (ECO), and release processes. Ensure traceability and auditability of all products and process changes.
- Ability to lead, mentor a strong PLM team
- Develop a clear, actionable PLM roadmap aligned with organizational strategy and future product launch requirements. Document best practices for data governance, process control, and solution scalability.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and regular reviews with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, and IT.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve legacy system issues and data quality problems. Champion culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk mitigation.
- Create comprehensive documentation for solution architecture, configuration, integration points, workflows, and user guides.
