Job Summary :
Senior Engineer / Senior Project Manager for our private land development projects in Texas. Project types include single-family subdivisions, sports complexes, and commercial projects.
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
- Provide civil engineering expertise related to private land development projects including road and utility design, grading and stormwater management, permitting, and cost estimating
- Provide expert assistance / instruction to junior level engineers and civil technicians regarding general engineering skills, complex hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, preliminary and final engineering strategies, road profile design, site grading techniques and ADA compliance
- Advise and / or coordinate preparation of engineering plans and reports for all types of project submittal packages using the appropriate software
- Interact and coordinate directly with all project stakeholders
- Provide accurate cost estimates and project timelines to stakeholders
- Manage time of engineering teams
- Provide construction oversight and contract administration for private land development projects
- Manage field revisions, RFIs, design changes and project closeout
- Write statements of qualifications or prepare project proposals, define a scope of work, develop a project budget, and attend meetings with clients and other stakeholders
- Develop project workflows to create project plans, create project specifications and construction drawings
- Prepare and manage project plans, project budgets, and project schedules from project start to completion with limited oversight
- Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by other team members
- Develop and implement strategic plans for business growth, with a focus on building relationships, driving marketing initiatives, and advancing business development opportunities
- Manage and grow a diverse portfolio of private land development projects
Minimum Education Requirements :
B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited UniversityRequired Qualifications (skills / experience / certifications) :
10+ years project engineer experienceState of Texas PE licensureMastery of the elements of civil engineeringStrong design skills, including conceptual sketching and draftingStrong Knowledge of Civil 3D and AutoCADAbility to work both collaboratively and independentlyExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlinesHighly motivated, self-driven, and detail orientedStrong communication, organizational, and technical writing skillsValid driver’s licensePreferred Qualifications (skills / experience / certifications) :
PM experience is desirableCompensation : $125,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
