Security Officer Commercial Patrol

As a Security Officer Commercial Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a secure environment for tenants and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any irregularities or suspicious activities encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management and / or client representatives regarding incidents or concerns at the location.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and employees with inquiries and directions as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific guidelines.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
