Building Assessor - Florida

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Assessors to join our dynamic team.

We currently seek candidates who reside in Florida for a customer project.  We are SB Thomas & Associates, a certified woman-owned, disadvantaged, small business enterprise (WDBE) providing construction management, government contracting technical assistance, and grant writing and grant administration services to its clients.

We are growing and seek team members who reside in Florida to perform building / housing evaluations, inclusive of, but not limited to Property Condition Assessments (PCA), life safety assessments, mechanical equipment evaluations, and other technical services associated with capital planning of single- and multi-family housing facilities.

Specifically you will :

• Conduct on-site  Property Condition Assessments (PCA) ,  Capital Needs Assessments (CNA) , and other building evaluations using iPad-based software.
• Visually assess building systems (MEP, structural, roofing, envelope, interiors, and site components).
• Complete accessibility assessments (ADA, UFAS, Fair Housing) and life safety evaluations.
• Perform  HQS, NSPIRE, and UPCS inspections  for affordable housing programs.
• Interview site contacts and review historical maintenance and inspection documentation.
• Photograph and document findings; write clear and accurate reports using assessment software.
• Communicate urgent issues and client updates to internal leads and project managers.
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality and consistency in reporting.
