Utility Worker – Commercial / Industrial Construction

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Utility Worker to join our team in the commercial / industrial construction sector. This role is essential in supporting project teams with a wide range of duties including site preparation, equipment / material handling, and assisting skilled trades. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, adaptable, and eager to learn within a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with general labor tasks on commercial and industrial construction sites.
• Load, unload, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
• Support trades (carpenters, ironworkers, welders, electricians, etc.) with tasks such as moving materials, setting up equipment, or cleaning work areas.
• Perform basic site preparation including debris removal, sweeping, and maintaining a safe and organized jobsite.
• Operate and maintain construction tools and equipment under supervision (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand tools, etc.).
• Follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and comply with OSHA standards.
• Assist in setting up and dismantling temporary structures (scaffolding, barricades, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
