Job Description : Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)(M.E.)(P.E)

The Sack Company is looking for a Mechanical Engineer in our Charlotte office

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with specialized expertise in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, coupled with a strong background in design and engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the implementation of HVAC systems in various projects. This role requires a deep understanding of thermal dynamics, fluid mechanics, and energy efficiency, along with the ability to create innovative and sustainable HVAC solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• HVAC System Design : Develop and design HVAC systems in accordance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
• Conduct load calculations and perform system sizing to meet project requirements.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software for creating detailed HVAC system drawings.
• Code Compliance : Ensure that HVAC designs comply with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
• Stay informed about updates to relevant codes and standards, and apply them to design work accordingly.
• Performance Analysis : Conduct performance analysis and simulations for HVAC systems to optimize efficiency and address potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related challenges during the development and testing phases.
• Documentation and Reporting : Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
• Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
