Tax Supervisor / Manager

gpac is partnering with a local CPA firm – this is a mid-sized public accounting firm in Farmington, CT seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor . The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of public accounting experience focusing on tax – industry guidance suggests accounting managers typically have at least five years of experience. This full-time, on-site role involves overseeing tax compliance and leading a small tax team. The Tax Supervisor will manage complex tax engagements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency for our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee preparation and review of individual, corporate (S-Corp / C-Corp), and partnership tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws.
• Serve as primary advisor on tax issues, staying current on tax law changes and identifying planning opportunities.
• Lead tax engagements from start to finish, including client communication and coordination with auditors or consultants as needed.
• Mentor and review work of junior staff, providing guidance and feedback to foster their professional growth.
