LA 411 is hiring : Sound Design and Music Selection Artist in California

This is a Contracted position in the field of Post Production - Editing, Compositing, Motion Graphics, & Visual Effects , located in Berkeley, CA .

The position pays $50.00 — $75.00 per hour .

For our Launch Marketing Campaign, we have produced 2 informational videos that will be placed on our website, and 5 promotional videos that will run as paid ads on a select group of social media sites. Our videographer has provided a locked picture edit for all the videos, and our Visual Design artist is currently working on the visual effects, motion graphics, and graphics. We're hoping to have all post production work completed by June 1.

CARTOON SCORING : The biggest challenge will be the sound design needed for the 5 promotional videos, all of which are slapstick comedy sketches, like you would see on Saturday Night Live, the Three Stooges, and TV cartoons. With these comedy sketches, the stories need to be told as much through sound as they are through the action and dialogue. NOTE : If you have done the sound scoring for TV cartoons, then you would be ideally suited for this project.

MUSIC LIBRARIES : Music selection will be very important. Nothing creates the mood or tone of a video or film better than music. It is going to be essential that we find the right music to match the diversity of our video content. However, our budget can't afford any original composition, so we will need to use stock music, including royalty-free libraries. NOTE : If you are a stock and library music geek, then you are ideally suited.

This is NOT a job that can be done remotely. Although most of the work can be done off-location, you must live in the greater SF Bay Area and be available to meet periodically at the Satisfill offices in Berkeley, CA.
