Base pay range : $31.53 / hr - $46.00 / hr
Mark Thomas hiring entry-level Roadway Design Engineers to our transportation team! The role of the Roadway Design Engineer I is to perform assigned tasks that contribute to the completion of a project. General responsibilities include a variety of tasks towards the preparation of plans, drawings, exhibits, reports and performing technical calculations. Responsibilities
- Prepares the details of project plans, estimates, calculate quantities, reports & prepare exhibits as assigned and directed
- Provides QC support by following the appropriate procedures as outlined
- Provides technical and field support during construction phase as necessary
- Demonstrates an understanding of and an ability to manipulate field survey data
- Demonstrates an understanding of design manuals, agency standards and procedures
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of current engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, LDD, etc.) and follows drafting and file naming standards
- Conveys technical information utilizing clear verbal and written skills
- Attends relevant professional organization activities to further career development
- Demonstrates a dedication to the organization and industry through participation in learning and development activities
- Communicates regularly with supervisor and project team members regarding updates on assigned tasks in a clear, timely manner
Qualifications
BS in Civil Engineering0-2+ years progressive experience, relevant intern experience is a strong plusEIT strongly preferred, but not requiredWorking knowledge of MS Office, Teams, AutoCAD, Civil3D, and other relevant engineering softwareAbility to work as a productive and effective team memberAbility to work on multiple tasksDemonstrate effective written and verbal skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time to maximize efficiencyAbility to develop and maintain professional relationships with a variety of unique and diverse people and personalitiesBenefits And Compensation
