We are seeking an accomplished Software Engineering Manager with strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to join our Deep Learning Compiler team. In this Manager III role, you will lead a team of seasoned compiler and software engineers in the design and development of a machine learning compiler simulator and verifier. The simulator simulates the model execution at different stages of compilation, targeting AWS Inferentia and Trainium chips. The verifier statically checks for correctness and key conditions within the compilation process, enabling early detection and prevention of failures. Together, they play a critical role in enhancing development efficiency, streamlining debugging, and enabling rapid prototyping. You need to be technically capable, credible, and curious in your own right as a trusted AWS Neuron Manager, innovating on behalf of our customers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field

• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• Experience partnering with product management
• Strong knowledge of developing and / or managing simulation software
• Solid understanding of compilers (specifically, resource management, instruction scheduling, code generation, and compute graph optimization)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
