Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Middlefield, Ohio. This is a fully onsite position that offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing financial transactions, vendor invoices, and inventory records while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities :

Process and organize financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Match vendor invoices with purchase orders to verify payment details.

Manage customer credit card charges and ensure proper allocation.

Enter vendor invoices into accounting software and prepare accounts payable documentation.

Support the Purchasing VP by assisting with administrative and accounting tasks.

Assist the Controller by posting inventory and sales batches.

File and maintain records of paid vendor invoices for future reference.

Prepare bank deposit slips and record customer cash receipts in the accounting system.

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Requirements :

Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Strong skills in data entry with a high level of accuracy.

Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.

Knowledge of Great Plains software is a plus.
