Payroll Tax Manager
$120k-$130k base salary + bonus and incredible benefits
4 days in office in downtown Manhattan - gorgeous NYC office
Job Description
Oversee all aspects of payroll tax compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of payroll tax returns and payments.
Manage audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
Maintain and update payroll tax policies and procedures in accordance with changing regulations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including HR, Finance, and external vendors.
Lead process improvements and automation initiatives within payroll tax operations.
Serve as the subject matter expert on payroll tax issues and provide guidance to the broader payroll team.

The Successful Applicant
Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll tax and compliance, preferably within financial services or a similarly regulated industry.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
Proficiency with Workday is required.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
