Trade Compliance Associate

Overview :

A growing international trade compliance team is seeking a mid-level associate to advise clients on complex trade matters. The team values collaboration, professionalism, and a supportive work environment. This role offers direct client interaction and opportunities to contribute to compliance programs across industries.

Responsibilities :

Advise clients on U.S. export control and trade regulations, including ITAR, EAR, OFAC sanctions, and CFIUS.

Conduct investigations and prepare voluntary disclosures for potential trade compliance issues.

Develop, implement, and maintain trade compliance policies and procedures.

Collaborate closely with clients to identify and mitigate compliance risks.

Work as part of a collegial, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications :

J.D. and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

2–6 years of experience in international trade compliance, including ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and CFIUS.

Experience with voluntary disclosures and compliance program development preferred.

Prior in-house or government experience is a plus.

Excellent writing, communication, and client-facing skills.

Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
