Job Summary

Develop a clear understanding of company policies and process for logistic coordinating. Follow company policies and processes to coordinate materials being received and shipped out of SMI. Work closely with vendors to ensure paperwork is accounted for and accurate.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Data entries in CMS EPICOR
  • Data entries in MS Excel
  • Process and file paperwork
  • Incoming and final Inspections
  • Inventory control
  • Develop and manage an Inventory stock location system

Daily Functions

  • Receive materials, check for damage
  • Ensure receivers / packing slips and certifications are present with received materials
  • Confirm material quantities match quantities on receivers / packing slips
  • Process RDR’s if receivers are inaccurate or missing information
  • See Supplier Quality Manual for fee’s
  • Mandatory Receiver Information :
  • PO#
  • Packing slip # or date material was received
  • Description
  • PN is applicable
  • Quantity
  • Enter receivers into CMS for items purchased with a purchase order
  • All receivers are to be entered by 10 : 00am the following morning
  • Provide scanned copies of receivers to accounting
  • Provide receipts for credit card orders to front office
  • Manage material traceability, record batch, lot, roll, and / or can details
  • Print and label materials with Inv Codes
  • Stock and organize inventory
  • Manage inventory levels of materials
  • Develop a clear understanding of the inspection process
  • Incoming inspect components
  • Register DMR’s for non-conforming components
  • DMR’s are to be completed with 24hrs of receiving components and submitted for approval to QA Manager
  • Print BOL’s from CMS
  • Package and ship parts
  • Perform cycle counts at the end of each month for CMS inventory adjustments
  • Clean shipping and receiving area

    • Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree or 2-5 years of experience working in shipping and receiving environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Previous experience / broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies
  • Demonstrates team building and conflict management skills
  • A fundamental understanding of basic logistics and manufacturing operations
  • Good planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance the fulfillment of requirements
  • Good interpersonal communication and listening ability
  • A strong ability to take direction from superiors and be adaptable and flexible
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Able to problem solve and provide solutions
  • Ability to work within effectively in a team environment
  • Highly motivated, results oriented, driven
  • The ability to lift up to 50lbs
