JANSON is seeking a mission-driven, detail-oriented Director of Strategic Operations & Planning to drive cross-departmental integration, facilitate strategic alignment, and deliver transparent operational reporting to the CEO. This director will serve as a strategic integrator across JANSON’s core business units—design, HR, production, program management, marketing, logistics, IT, and more—ensuring all efforts are tied to measurable outcomes and strategic goals.

SUMMARY :
This role requires a unique blend of analytical rigor, executive presence, and the ability to distill complexity into clarity for senior leadership. The Director will play a pivotal role in setting the strategic tempo, aligning KPIs across the enterprise, and producing high-impact insights that fuel decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Strategic Development & Planning
- Lead and support the CEO in organizational-wide strategic planning cycles (annual and quarterly).
- Develop frameworks and roadmaps that align departmental objectives to JANSON’s mission and vision.
- Facilitate goal-setting sessions, and cross-functional planning discussions.
Operational Performance Management
Design and implement systems for monthly operational reporting, synthesizing data from across departments into CEO-level executive briefs.Develop and manage a crosswalk of KPIs and performance metrics across key departments (Design, HR, Production, Marketing, Logistics, IT, etc.).Monitor progress against strategic goals and highlight risks, gaps, and opportunities in execution.Cross-Functional Integration
Serve as a liaison across operational teams to ensure strategic goals are understood and executed at all levels.Align internal workflows, communications, and resource priorities with broader company objectives.Act as a thought partner to department heads to optimize output and identify cross-cutting efficiencies.Executive-Level Communication
Deliver crisp, visually engaging, and insight-rich monthly and quarterly reporting to the CEO.Translate operational and departmental metrics into strategic insights and actionable recommendations.Contribute to executive presentations, board updates, and high-level communications.EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS :
7+ years of progressive experience in strategy, operations, business planning, or enterprise performance management.Demonstrated ability to build integrated operational reports and distill complex information for senior leadership.Strong understanding of performance metrics, KPI development, and strategic planning methodologies.Experience working across multiple business functions with the ability to unify efforts around a common goal.Highly analytical, systems-oriented thinker with strong communication skills.Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, etc.).Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MPA, or equivalent highly preferred.Prior experience in a government contracting, defense, or communications firm is a plus.Clearance eligibility preferred (Secret or higher).SUCCESS FACTORS :
