FLSA Status : Non- Exempt

Pay : $16.59 per hour

DESCRIPTION

The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator II role involves monitoring, regulating, and adjusting equipment to ensure the efficient and safe treatment of wastewater before discharge. The operator will work within established guidelines to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure the proper functioning of all treatment processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma / GED is required.

Must possess a valid Driver's License (Class C) at time of placement.

Class D Wastewater Operator License issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Ability to obtain a class C Wastewater Operator License is required within nine (9) months of eligibility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and regulations.
• Skills in precisely conducting inspections, recording data, and maintaining accurate logs and reports regarding plant operations.
• Skills in using computer systems and software for data analysis and reporting.
• Skills both in written and verbal communication, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability and capacity to assess challenges, analyze options, and implement solutions to enhance plant efficiency and performance.
• Ability to be available for flexible schedules and a prompt response to emergency situations.
