The Department of Marketing, Industrial Distribution, and Economics in the Collat School of Business at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications for an open rank (tenure-track or non-tenure-track) faculty position to lead our Business Communications program, starting Fall 2026.

We seek an innovative and collaborative individual to shape the strategic direction of the Business Communications curriculum and prepare students to become effective communicators in a business environment increasingly shaped by digital and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Hold a doctorate degree in Marketing or related
• Demonstrate a commitment to research and teaching excellence at the undergraduate and / or graduate levels.
• Have a minimum of two years of experience as a tenure-track faculty member at an AACSB-accredited institution.

The Department of Marketing, Industrial Distribution and Economics (MIDE) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications for a full-time, tenure- track advanced Assistant or Associate Professor of Marketing to begin in the Fall of 2025. Expectations for this position include evidence of an active program of high-quality research and teaching, with primary instructional responsibilities addressing any one of several departmental needs, including : digital marketing, marketing strategy, consumer behavior, or product / brand

management. Depending on emergent departmental needs, prior instructional or professional experience relevant to teaching other courses such as sales, marketing research, marketing analytics, or consumer neuroscience may also be desirable. The Collat School of Business offers an engaging learning environment with classrooms that extend well beyond the walls of the UAB campus.
