Accounts Payable

JOB DESCRIPTION A leading Event Production company and Sales & Installation company with a national footprint is looking for qualified accounting professionals for its fast-paced expanding accounting department in its Chicago headquarters. The Accounts Payable Specialist assists with invoicing and billing.  CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs  Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors  Analyzing workflow processes  Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors  Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures  Processing due invoices for payments  Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field A minimum of 3 years’ experience handling Account Payables and Receivables Experience with QuickBooks preferably QuickBooks Enterprise DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Self-starter that can thrive in both a corporate and start-up type environment Strong technical and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills COMPENSATION A comprehensive compensation package including salary, commissions, medical and dental insurance, vacation and holidays will be offered.
