Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions and provides assistance to the Assistant Controller and Controller as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

Scan invoices into appropriate processing systems (Margin Edge, EdenRed / Finrails, and others)

Enter invoices into accounting system (Northstar) ensuring that proper approvals have been obtained and that account codes are correctly assigned.

Receive invoices from Fintech into Clear Sky and journalize Fintech payments.

Do weekly disbursements via check, EdenRed / Finrails, or other methods. Issue occasional checks on demand if needed.

Maintain Accounts Payable files.

Accounts Receivable

Verify that POS transactions have been posted into Northstar.

Bill banquet charges.

Prepare Daily Revenue Report.

Maintain UBI tracking system including follow up letters to members regarding Records of Guest Entertainment.

Scan checks received to remote deposit system and post receipts to member accounts.

Generate monthly statements to members and email / mail to members.

Other Recurring Tasks

Assist with monthly inventory reconciliations and variance analysis.

Identify and help resolve issues related to transaction processing.

Education / Experience

High School graduate, college degree preferred

Skilled in Microsoft 365 applications including Excel and Word

Required Skills / Abilities

Good communication skills both verbal and written.

Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines managing multiple priorities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment.

Required Characteristics

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet daily, monthly and annual deadlines.

Interest in developing professional and personal skills
