Staff Accountant

Senior Financial Analyst, Good Sam

Camping World is currently seeking a Staff Accountant for our Good Sam business, based in our Chicago, IL Corporate Office. This role will support the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations, as well as other ad hoc projects as assigned. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical and a self-starter. This role will focus on operational accounting within the Good Sam business, including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals and other accounts as assigned. Strong written and verbal communication skills are desired.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigned General Ledger accounts, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, account analyses and the creation of monthly or quarterly reporting.
• Ensure deadlines for month-end and financial reporting requirements are met and all accounting and reporting activities are performed in accordance with GAAP.
• Work closely within the accounting team to improve processes and create documentation around existing processes.
• Support business leadership in the analysis of business functions, including general ledger and cost analysis. Communicate and interpret business results to business leadership.
• Prepare complex journal entries and maintain supporting files and documentation.
• Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process.
• Assist with accounting projects and financial system implementations, as needed.
• Provide support to auditors, as required.

Pay Range : $55,335.00-$80,745.00 Annual
