We have an opportunity for a talented & ambitious Structural Engineer to join us as our new Sr. Structural Engineer to join our growing Power & Utilities Group.

This role will have you take full ownership of our physical substation projects providing technical oversight, communicate with clients directly, and manage construction related activities / questions. Our vision for this role is that the responsibilities will increase to include management (project, client, and / or personnel) opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the responsible engineer and client point of contact for substation power delivery projects.
• Assist in marketing and promotion efforts to add new regional clients.
• Prepare, review, and P.E. seal technical calculation reports and construction documents meeting client and NV5 requirements.
• Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing knowledge with other experienced engineers and train and mentor junior staff.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
• Mentor junior staff.
