Role
The EDU Producer at Scout House is responsible for optimizing and overseeing the entire production process. This includes managing workflows, coordinating projects, and maintaining digital assets. They are also tasked with scheduling syncs, managing video production, and drafting event communications. The producer supports account and project management, collaborates on reporting and analytics, and handles resource allocation and quality assurance. Their role is crucial in upholding production standards to ensure successful project delivery.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in event production, with a focus on live and virtual formats
- Strong project management skills, able to juggle multiple concurrent initiatives
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners
- Comfortable building structure in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with gaming culture or mechanics is a plus
- Experience engaging and managing creative or developer communities (e.g., via Discord) is a plus
- Willing to work PST hours; hybrid availability preferred but not required

Project Management & Communication
Internal Communication : Provide weekly project updates during company stand-up meetings and maintain the internal spreadsheet.Asset Management : Organize and manage digital assets in shared drives (GDrive) for easy access.Resource Coordination : Support resource allocation and scheduling for production-related projects and tasks.General Support : Execute additional tasks to ensure smooth production operations.Production Oversight
Workflow Optimization : Develop and maintain efficient production workflows.Daily Operations : Oversee day-to-day production activities, utilizing the Master Tracker to highlight deliverables and due dates.Meeting Management : Schedule and prepare agendas for all production-related sync meetings.Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with teams such as copywriting, creative direction, and graphic design to coordinate projects.Video Production
End-to-End Management : Manage the entire lifecycle of educational videos, from pre-production to post-production and distribution.Timeline & Budget Adherence : Ensure video production schedules are met and projects stay within budget.Events & Programming
Communication Drafting : Draft event invitation communications for program members and talent.Content Development : Create and maintain educational and resource materials to support program objectives.Client & Account Management
Meeting Documentation : Attend sync meetings, taking detailed notes on client preferences and action items.Client Correspondence : Draft client agendas and follow-up emails for review by Account Managers, and send directly when appropriate.Reporting : Compile team member hours for monthly burn reports (internal and external).Tracking Updates : Consistently update the Master Tracker and Trello board with project progress.Reporting & Analytics
Creator Feedback : Conduct pre- and post-production creator interviews to gather insights.Creator Tracking : Maintain and update the Creator Tracker with relevant information.Data Collaboration : Work with the Strategy team to create reporting deck slides, providing necessary insights and data.Resource Optimization
Task Assignment : Allocate and assign resources to projects to optimize team member skills and availability.Load Management : Monitor resource allocation to prevent overloading team members and make adjustments as needed.Quality AssuranceContent Review : Review all deliverable content (presentations, written resources, video edits, etc.) to ensure high standards, accuracy, and client expectations are met.Pre-delivery Checks : Regularly review all deliverables to identify and resolve issues before client submission.
