A Little More About the Role :

We're looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to serve as the technical anchor for an engineering team that supports Gravie's customer and member web portals. You have deep and broad engineering skills and can stand up an architecture in its entirety on your own, but you choose to influence a wider team by acting as a "force multiplier."

You enjoy working with both server and client-side technologies and possess a good mixture of DevOps and application development chops and would like to build forward-thinking and innovative solutions with experienced teammates. You should have plenty of experience in building performant, easy to use, well monitored and well tested APIs, creating and maintaining robust web applications, designing efficient data flows, communicating clearly, sharing knowledge, and questioning existing solutions.

You will :

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of product features and services that delight Gravie's customers and members.
• Drive engineering excellence via code reviews, architectural guidance, and hands-on mentorship.
• Foster a high-performing team culture grounded in collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability.
• Help evolve our CI / CD processes toward continuous delivery, with an emphasis on fast, safe, high-quality deployments.
• Oversee production health of the services your team owns and implement improvements to minimize incidents.
• Provide technical leadership for key initiatives in our financial and customer experience technology stacks.
• Champion the thoughtful adoption of AI-driven development tools, including best practices for integrating tools like Claude Code
• Be a role model of Gravie's core values-authenticity, curiosity, creativity, empathy, and outcomes focus.

The salary range for this position is $125,687 - $209,478 annually. Numerous factors including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. will be considered when determining compensation.
