Position Summary :
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and results-driven Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of fundraising events that drive donor engagement, community awareness, and revenue growth. This role is essential to strengthening Son of a Saint’s mission through high-impact events that inspire giving and foster long-term relationships with supporters.
Key Responsibilities :
Events Management
- Play a lead role in the planning and execution of annual fundraising events including the Annual Gala, A Night in New York, Women’s Luncheon, Men's Dinner, and other
signature events.
Plan and implement donor appreciation receptions including maintaining guest lists, managing event correspondence, coordinating with vendors, and overseeing eventlogistics and budgets.
Assist with the planning and implementation of stewardship activities for donors at various levels (meetings, cultivation trips, facility tours, and other gatherings forindividual donors).
Assist with the planning and execution of partnership engagement events and activities.Set clear goals for each event in terms of fundraising targets, attendee experience, and donor engagement.Maintain accurate records of event revenue and expensesEstablish and monitor all event budgets, including overseeing bid procedures and vendor payments.Oversee all aspects of event production, including venue selection, vendor management, catering, permits, contracts, insurance, and A / V coordination.Develop detailed event timelines, task lists, and run-of-show documents.Provide direction and training to event staff and volunteers during events.Liaise with Programs and Community Engagement Departments to coordinate mentee, mentor, alumni, and guardian participation in fundraising events.Sponsorship & Fundraising
Identify and secure event sponsorships and in-kind donations.In collaboration with the Director of Development and Marketing / Communications team, create sponsorship packages and work with partners to fulfill recognition andbenefits.
Work with Marketing / Communications teams to assist in the development of promotional materials, event branding, social media content, email campaigns, andevent invitations.
Manage event registration, ticketing, and attendee communications.Build and maintain relationships with event committees, sponsors, donors, partners, and vendors. Specifically serves as primary liaison between Son of a Saint Development Team and external special event committees.Post-Event Analysis :
Lead post-event debriefs, gather feedback, and track key metrics such as ROI,attendance, and donor conversion.
Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and ensure timely follow-up andacknowledgments.
Skills and Qualifications :
BA or BS degree3–5 years of experience managing fundraising or large-scale events, preferably in a nonprofit setting.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.Experience processing donations and managing donor / gift data in a CRM (preferably Salesforce)Proactive and consistent work ethicProfessional demeanor and conductBasic understanding of fundraising operations, strategy, communication, and landscapeAbility to work independently and within a diverse Development team and across various functional areasCommitment to Son of a Saint’s mission and visionThis position will require occasional travel, and weekend / evening hours.
