The Operations Supervisor oversees the business of the division. This includes, but is not limited to, the customer service, safety, operational efficiencies and overall personnel management within the division.
Job Duties :
- Complete any required (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) site or facility inspections
- Develop, monitor and maintain productivity reports for all processing.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion.
- Ensure waste that is processed daily is being tracked based on company and / or client policies.
- Overseeing waste profiling, manifesting, and vendor coordination to streamline container, transport, and disposal processes.
- Acting as the primary liaison for compliance audits, operations, and reporting throughout projects' lifecycles.
- Coordinating between field crews, contractors, and clients to maintain project timelines, safety standards, and documentation accuracy.
- Utilizing internal and external software's or portals to track data including, but not limited to, container movement, waste profiles, waste volume reports, etc.
- Monitor waste inventory levels - inbound and outbound.
- Ensure there are proper tools for the processing tasks.
- Facilitate or schedule training on all pieces of equipment.
- Issue practical training for new processes that are introduced.
- Update procedures in real-time as they change or develop
- Track container usage, equipment logistics, and manpower to support daily planning and operations.
- Managing ongoing field and disposal projects across multiple sites, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency
- Lead by example when required for difficult waste streams or newly introduced processes.
- Ensure adherence of employees to GFL's Safety Policies.
- Conduct and document on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices.
- Lead in identifying and evaluating hazards, hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace.
- Conduct incident investigations as required.
Requirements :
40-hour HAZWOPERTransportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) CardDISA drug and background screeningAny required site-specific training on an as-needed basisClass C driver's license.Leadership experience.Proficient in the use of basic computer programs.Superior communication skills.Chemical and / or chemistry experience.Excellent planning, scheduling and organizational skills.Able to analyze and solve problems independently as well as work well with a team.We thank you for your interest.
