Overview

Lead a growing team in truss manufacturing as the Shop / Production Manager at Bear Creek Truss Inc. This is a full-time, on-site role in Tuscola, IL. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and capable of managing workflow, hiring decisions, and motivating a skilled workforce to meet production goals. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow across production lines.
• Lead, mentor, and manage shop personnel to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.
• Make proactive adjustments to production plans to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate staffing needs, including interviewing and hiring new team members as needed.
• Collaborate with project management and leadership teams to align production with project timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials and safety equipment are readily available.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
• Operate forklifts and assist with material handling as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of production, staffing, and safety compliance.
