Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) Consultant - IT Toolchain
We are looking for an experienced Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) Consultant to support the IT team in advancing automotive software development tools and processes. This is a long-term contract position based onsite in Marysville, Ohio, ideal for professionals with a strong background in software engineering, vehicle architecture, and DevSecOps practices. The role focuses on enhancing development environments, optimizing workflows, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design and implement a robust toolchain for vehicle software development.
- Maintain and support on-premise server infrastructure critical to development operations.
- Develop and refine CI / CD pipelines to improve software integration and deployment efficiency.
- Apply DevSecOps principles to ensure cybersecurity best practices are embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
- Create and update architecture diagrams for IT applications and integration layers.
- Provide technical expertise on operating systems used in embedded environments, including Linux and Windows.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of integrated controls and functional safety systems.
- Facilitate Agile methodologies, including sprint planning and execution, to support software development processes.
- Assist in the design and deployment of Over-the-Air (OTA) infrastructure for vehicle software updates.
- Ensure alignment with automotive industry standards and safety protocols, including ISO 26262.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in maintaining on-premise server infrastructure and application administration.Strong knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, software development, and DevOps methodologies.Familiarity with integrated controls, functional safety systems, and vehicle architecture.Proficiency in operating systems such as Ubuntu, Linux, Windows, and containerized platforms like Docker.Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and cybersecurity integration in development processes.Ability to design and interpret architecture diagrams for complex IT systems.Expertise in Agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban, to support development workflows.Legal and EEO Statement
