Security Officer - Part-Time Campus Patrol

As a Security Officer - Part-Time Campus Patrol in Pleasantville, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a prominent educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming environment for all students, staff, and visitors. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $17.71 - $18.71 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Thur 04 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sat 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and report all security-related issues according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with campus staff and students to provide a welcoming and secure environment.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports documenting incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Remain alert and attentive to changing conditions in the educational environment to address potential risks.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
