Vision abilities required to identify small defects around and underneath vehicles. Role
ACV Auctions is looking for an enthusiastic Inspector who has a knack for cars and wants to join a growing company. Inspectors are the face of our company, know a lot about cars, and explain to clients what they need to know in an understandable way. Inspectors are expected to be meticulous, deliver trust and customer service, and work with energy to ensure clients receive the best service.
Responsibilities
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
- Partner with a Territory Manager and a team of Inspectors to conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease locations to detect damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems.
- Prepare and submit reports of vehicle condition, repair / replacement cost estimates, and related documentation.
- Assist the sales team with up-selling or cross-selling services and products.
- Interface regularly with dealers to develop and ensure client satisfaction and build strong relationships.
- Travel to and from dealerships and homes to inspect, write condition reports, and list vehicles for sale on the auction platform.
- Take multiple photos of vehicles, match them to a vehicle, and upload to the image server using the company-issued smartphone.
- List inspected wholesale vehicles on ACV Auctions platform for bidding and purchase.
- Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to utilize ACV Auctions digital platform.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
