We are currently seeking highly qualified applicants to work at the US Air Force Test Pilot School, specifically supporting development and delivery of a Test and Evaluation training course for US Space Force personnel including operators and engineers. This in-residence, yearlong course is currently offered two times each year with dedicated facilities onboard Edwards AFB.

ABSI supports these classes with a mixture of primarily on-site personnel, some part time subject matter experts, and virtual learning as needed. Instructors should have operational and / or Test and Evaluation experience with space systems. The Astronautical Sciences instructor will work on-site at Edwards AFB, directly supporting the Astronautical Sciences Technical Expert. This includes coordinating, developing, and delivering classroom instruction and hands-on exercises to meet course learning objectives.

A successful candidate must have in depth knowledge of Astronautics and space operations. Specialized knowledge and experience in the operation and / or development of Space Systems and experience in DoD acquisition / Test and Evaluation are highly desired.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

The Astronautical Sciences Instructor will be responsible for :

• Provide subject matter expertise and analysis to develop and deliver classroom instruction and guide practical exercises in support of Space Test curriculum
• Provide expert advice to the Astronautical Sciences Technical Expert to guide curriculum development, course policies and assist in establishing new capabilities
• Coordinate with other USAF Test Pilot School divisions to ensure course logistical and administrative support requirements are planned and executed for each class
