Responsibilities Work in a 32-bed Med / Surg Telemetry Float unit in an acute care hospital setting Care for a range of post-surgical patients including general, orthopedic, urology, and gynecology Patient ratios are typically 1 : 4-6 All beds are telemetry capable; RNs validate and read tele strips with off-site monitor tech support RNs are required to titrate drips such as heparin, blood, and IV fluids 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required Floating within RN scope required as needed by unit No on-call or standby required except per census Epic EMR system is used; prior experience preferred Responsibilities include validating and interpreting telemetry strips, managing titratable drips, and caring for diverse post-surgical populations Charge nurse and house supervisor support available Nurse aids provide support with ratios of 1 : 8-16 Navy scrubs required for all shifts Unit-specific orientation will be provided with onboarding (1-2 shifts) Must be available for all holidays, though may not be scheduled to work each one Returning candidates may not have been employed directly by associated health systems in the last year First time travelers will be considered for this position Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 1 year RN experience required BLS certification required Telemetry experience required Must provide 2 references : one supervisor from within past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within past 3 years Copy of driver's license required for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625249.
