Summary :

Established ISO-certified manufacturing company in Lake Zurich is looking for a person who is experienced in Manufacturing with a strong Engineering background. This person should be able to develop and implement creative solutions for parts requiring CNC Swiss, CNC Lathe and CNC Milling operations. Additional background knowledge in materials, machining techniques, heat treating and various plating's would be a plus.

Responsibilities and Qualifications :

• Understand today's modern tooling and machining techniques.
• Able to problem-solve CNC set-ups and processes when needed.
• Can work with tooling, equipment and subcontract vendors to determine all products and services meet the appropriate customer and quality specifications that are required.
• Understands how to work with families of parts to optimize tooling and changeovers.
• Can conceptualize or design specialty work-holding fixtures.
• Initiates design of preliminary and production prints according to customer specifications.
• Provides technical support to manufacturing, marketing and sales.
• Assists others with design specifications, sampling and any engineering problems with existing tooling.
• Initiates process improvements to meet continuous improvement objectives and cost reductions.
• Interacts closely with management, vendors and customers regarding design requirements.
• Develop and maintain CNC machine programs for CNC Swiss, CNC Lathe and CNC Milling applications.
• Create job routers that include CNC programs, process and tooling lists.
• Create CNC programs manually and / or with the aide of CAD / CAM software such as Fusion and PartMaker.
• Able to provide accurate cycle time estimates.
• Helps to identify and develop training programs for CNC operators based on identified skill gaps.
• Works well with in a team oriented setting and is able to multi-task.

Requirements :

Salary is dependent on prior work experience.
