Contract Type : W2 ONLY

Location : San Jose, CA (Onsite - 3 days in office)

Duration : 6+ months (Possible extension)

Pay Range : $60-$65 / hr on W2

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced BIOS Platform Bring-up Engineer to lead the development and integration of BIOS firmware for our new hardware platforms. The role requires collaboration with hardware design teams and firmware engineers to ensure successful system bring-up, optimization, and validation. The ideal candidate will bring a robust understanding of BIOS / UEEFI development, hardware architecture, and system-level troubleshooting to drive our projects to success.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain BIOS firmware for new hardware platforms.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to resolve system-level issues during the bring-up phase.
  • Write and execute detailed test plans for BIOS firmware quality and stability.
  • Debug BIOS-related issues and implement firmware features for optimization.
  • Contribute to platform features design, conduct code reviews, and document BIOS specifications.

Must-Have Skills :

  • Proficiency in C and Assembly programming languages.
  • Strong background in BIOS / UEFI, system-level bring-up and hardware initialization.
  • Experience with debugging tools (e.g., JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes).

    • Industry Experience :

  • Prior experience in PC or embedded systems development is preferred, especially those involving x86 or ARM architecture.
